I've actually changed my mind a bit about "Mad Men" and sort-of enjoy it now. (I noted I mentioned it once on this thread in a negative way) I still think it borders on being progressivist agitprop and that it's too brooding to be real, it's also very "Stuff White People Like" genre, but it's not quite the angst-ridden depression fest I once thought. They are sometimes happy, I guess, and not just when drunk. And it's kind of interesting now that I don't take it as actually trying to depict anything like a reality that existed of that era. Seeing it as a show depicting certain moods or outlooks or archetypes from a distance it's well-done if maybe not very likeable. Anyway weird intro to "songs from/in Mad Men."
