How funny. My brother Mark was out in Seattle in the late 70's and early 80's and he saw a Led Zepplin concert. They got booed off the stage. Props to the island across the pond nonetheless.
Rock n Roll from the 60's and into the early 70's is the best.
Give me Mr. Chuck Berry & his contemporaries for first choice, though. There should be BIG statues of Alan Freed (& Jerry Blavat) standing in Cleveland, as well (if there's not already).
I like some grunge, some big hair when it isn't some of those awful ballads, some alternative rock, some heavy metal. I have severe limits to every genre of music, though my tastes are diverse. Most of the rock nowadays is just downright horrid. Nickelback? Three Doors Down? Aerosmith? I'm getting ill already. Then again, some of that lame 70's freedom rock isn't any better: I don't care how many people define it as "classic".
Please complete the above sentence, with the phrase that best reflects YOUR opinion.
Rock 'n roll is here to stay,
it will never die
It was meant to be that way,
though I don't know why
I don't care what people say,
rock 'n roll is here to stay
(We don't care what people say,
rock 'n roll is here to stay)
Rock 'n roll will always be
our ticket to the end
It will go down in history,
just you wait, my friend
Rock 'n roll will always be,
it'll go down in history
(Rock 'n roll will always be,
it'll go down in history)
So come on, everybody rock,
everybody rock,
Everybody rock, everybody rock
Everybody rock
Now everybody rock 'n roll,
everybody rock 'n roll,
Everybody rock 'n roll
Everybody rock 'n roll,
Everybody rock 'n roll
Rock 'n roll will always be
our ticket to the end
It will go down in history,
just you wait, my friend
Rock 'n roll will always be,
it'll go down in history
If you don't like rock 'n roll,
think what you've been missin'
But if you like to bop and strawl,
come on down and listen
Let's all start to have a ball,
everybody rock 'n roll
Ah, oh baby, ah, oh baby, ah, oh baby,
ah, oh baby, rock
most of the mainstream stuff nowadays is crap. there are still a few good "rock" bands around, but most of the good ones were in early to mid 90's. however, there are plenty of great hardcore metal bands now, which is a wonderful thing
Tek..........ah, Danny and the Juniors, great song. Soooo many great groups
in the 50's/60's..........The Chantels, The Passions, The Crests, Larry Chance and the Earls........The Jive Five, The Platters, Norman Fox and the Robroys
