I agree it would be a really long list, most of 80's rock-heavy metal lost me.

That da da da song was really annoying

The Final Countdown was super cheesy

But be that as it may, even the worst song of the 80s is still better than the crap that passes for music today

"Come on Eileen" by Dexys Midnight Runners was quite puke inducing.

"I Would Walk 500 Miles" by The Proclaimers certainly made me reach for the barf bag.

"99 red balloons" still takes the cake in my book.

I thought 80's "metal" was actually pretty good and now you can't go anywhere without hearing it in commercials, on the radio, at ballgames - it's everywhere. Scorpions, Ozzy, AC/DC, etc. There's a reason you still hear THAT music in 2010 and not the flavor of the minute pop garbage people were doing backflips over in 1982 or 1985.

Default is it

red balloons or luftballoons? is the artist Nina? I'm forgetting myself now

yes others have expressed distaste for the Come On Eileen song. it's like nails on the chalkboard. like trumped up enthusiasm when it sounds like it's all faked and put on. what may we ask are they trying to get Eileen to do??!!

And yes, I do take enjoyment in telling the people who were doing the backflips over the flavor-of-the-month pop-crapola in the 1980's...
