He was a huge part of their band for the past thirty years. Apparently he died of a heart attack yesterday; he was only 58. So sad.

I'm happy now that I saw Hall & Oates (and T-Bone, of course; he was great!) twice in concert last year.

The Associated Press: T-Bone Wolk, bass player for Hall & Oates, dies

Man, what a sad loss! I saw H&O in the early 80s and Wolk, G.E. Smith, Charlie DeChant and Mickey Curry made a hell of a backing band!

RIP T-Bone. Here are two of my favorite bass works of his:

The news makes me very sad. He had incredible talent and from what I could tell, he had a wonderful nature about him as well.

Here is the best article I've seen yet:

Swan song ‘T-Bone' Wolk's death touches off wave of sorrow - Brattleboro Reformer

What a wonderful human being T-Bone was, to have helped aspiring musicians and also to have been so ego-free.

So sad, my bass playing husband informed me of this yesterday. Such a bummer, that guy was so good and so cool.
