I don't know why, after 20 years Epic didn't release them with all the tracks on the CD in the first place! Oh well.

The guy has had an illustrious career. He released a live CD over a decade ago that's a real treat when he does an acoustic version of Hurdy Gurdy Man. Donovan, as you know was one of the people who traveled with the Beatles to visit the Guru Mararashi. A great reference to the Beatles and particularly to George Harrison is in the middle of that song. Too cool!

Yea, can't go wrong with that CD! Classic late 60's!
It always bugged me that Epic greatest hits LP didn't have Atlantis on it.

Atlantis was initially released in the UK in november 1968.
Epic initially decided not to release it as they thought it would be a flop
as the first half on the song is "spoken", not sung.
When it became at hit in europe, Epic then changed it's opinion and released in in april 1969.
Paul McCartney is rumored to have sung back up vocals on it.
Possibly true as Paul was friends with Donovan and I have seen picture taken in late '68
of McCartney at a Donovan session, playing drums!

Jimmy Page was rumored to have played on Donovan's Hurdy Gurdy Man,
he didn't, but he did play on Donovan's song "Sunshine Superman".

Donovan was present at the Beatles recording of Yellow Submarine in may 1966,
aparently he even helped write a some of the lyrics, "sky of blue, sea of green".
One of the craziest Beatle recording sessions ever , with the group and a number of their friends
marching around the studio singing the chorus, Lennon shouting through a megaphone
various nautical orders like "battle stations, battle stations",
through a mega phone, with various assorted "submarine" noises,
everyone at the session really getting into it, LOL

I'm checking out that new album now, steel, thanks for the link.

I've always been a fan, have worn out my album, eight-track and cassettes of his first greatest hits album and seem to have misplaced the CD.

I love this short clip of him, from the Dylan documentary "Don't Look Back":
