What's wrong? Can't accept facts? More people (worldwide) saw Elvis' "Aloha From Hawaii" than saw the 1969 moon landing.
And Elvis' records have sold over 1 billion copies worldwide.
Elvis was not an international mega star on that level. I dont believe that. I could have sworn michaels black or white video was the most watched anyway. But im not going to have my intelligence insulted believing that.

And how many albums did elvis release to sell one billion albums. He would have to released hundreds each going multi platinum. Thats laughable

You're exactly right...Elvis wasnt an international icon. He was absolutely a National icon, but he was nowhere near the international phenom that Michael Jackson was. He had nowhere near the performance, theatrics, moves, and improvisation that Micheal Jackson had either. Michael Jackson was a prodigy, Elvis was just great at what he did.

Michael Jackson was easily the single most transcendent figures the music world has and probably will ever know. Culturally, racially, generationally transcendent.

From the Internet Movie Database and other sources:
Elvis...
- Had 18 Billboard #1 songs.
- His records have spent a total of 79 weeks at the #1 position in the U.S.
- Has sold over 1,300,000,000 albums worldwide, more than any other musical artist/group in the world.
- Has more multi-platinum albums sales than any other performer, with 12 albums selling over 2 million copies.
- Held the outdoor attendance record for a concert, wtih 62,500 in attendance, with another record for takings in a single show... $850,000.
- Earned an estimated $4.5 billion in his lifetime.
- In 1973 was the biggest taxpayer in the U.S.
- Has sold 1.8 billion records worldwide, more than any other artist or musical group.

How many #1 songs did MJ have? How many of his albums were multi-platinum.

As I mentioned before, Elvis had a nice, high-baritone voice, while MJ had a high, squeaky voice. To try to compare both would be laughable!

Billy Preston played with the Beatles on their Let It Be album.

Booker T. and th MGs recorded a version of The Beatles' Abbey Road album.

Many black jazz artists have recorded versions of Beatles songs.

all of these statistics are BS

Another example of america shoving elvis down our throats. 1.8 billion records give me a break. Mj has way more acheivements than that, that are more impressive

Mj was getting 1 million a show

Elvis certaintly did not die with 4.5 billion

Mjs thriller selling 104million is the most impressive sales statistic in music. Elvis and the beatles released waaaay more albums than michael. But that 1.5 billy is still wrong
