I'm from Northern NJ so traffic is never as bad as it was there. I live in Carolina Forest and I hardly every go on 501 - you get to know all the back roads and how to get around.

thank you everyone for all the replies. Canterbury appts are not even worth looking at after all the horrible reviews. my job kinda failed because there was a mess up and its actually in charelston.....so im looking more towards conway.....towards loris or anyor still.....30 mins from the beach but yet far enough in the south. any advice on appts??? i have a dog.

If your job is in Charleston, I would recommend living in the Charleston area. Just my opinion.

yes, conway to charleston is a 2.5 hour commute depending on where in conway. and i am glad you came here first before signing a lease with canterbury... i lived there, i can vouch. it is as bad as everyone says. my brother-in-law is a cop and he told me they are offering free rent to any cops just to have them there.

thats insane!!! ya def. not driving 2.5 hours and DEF. not living in canterbury....so now im still looking into conway/loris/aynor area and along with looking for a place to rent, also looking for a job. I have a ton of research to do!!! ill be down in July to do more research!!!

the traffic here is insane in the summer but not bad at all in the off season. Not too terrible when you think of the fact that the summer months take up only a small fraction of the year.
