Relocating....
My teenage son was abused by a family member seven years ago and that family member is now out and living 500 feet from us. It's too much for us to deal with and we want to relocate to the area from PA.
What is the job market like? I've done medical billing for the last 13 years, but my degree is in travel/tourism.
My husband has done hotel maintenance for about 5 years.
We are coming down in two weeks to check out the job situation.
Any insight??

Do a little back checking into this forum as dozens upon dozens of newbies have asked these same questions recently. The job situation in Horry County isn't real good, but like me (who's been trying to relocato to MB for years now) I have found a few leads.
Is there a particular reason Myrtle Beach? Honestly, if you're looking for beachside living, the Charleston area has a much better outlook for jobs. Best of luck.

Isn't this pedofile a registered sex offender? How is it even legally possible for this person to live anywhere close to you at all? How very awful! Seems a bit fishy to me......
Anyway, best of luck with your potential move and as TNKY mentioned, there are multiple posts on this forum with questions and detailed answers that are nearly identical to yours (with the exception of the sex offender part.)

He was a juvenile when he was convicted. In the state of PA, he doesn't have to be registered.
I love the south. I was just trying to find a place I was familiar with. My family and I have spent many vacations in Myrtle Beach.
Thanks for your help.

What a sad thing that he can live so close to you and haunt you like this. Like I said, best of luck with your move. We moved here about 3 years ago and love it.
