I thought I was told that the biker weeks were bringing in big big money to myrtle beach.I now read in the local news that this is untrue. The cost of having the spring bike week/ weeks/ exceeded what the city made by over 183.000 bucks....I guess the tax payers and bike lovers are going to have to make it up...I had a feeling that all this bike week big money hype was little more than BS and it has even driven the good paying fishermen and fall vacationers away to boot.....This is my opinion .
I hear North Carolina beaches are beautiful in the fall. Please post a full report in the N C forum if you decide to take your money away from the strand area and enjoy a place more to your personal liking. Best wishes

I guess my main issue is you cant find cheap rooms in NC. I like the south myrtle area near spring maid best. Up in NC they figure people are there for the better fishing and the rates stay high.

I guess the extra money for a room may be a good trade off if it means none of those biker types and better fishing.
