I am wanting to put together a nice weekend for my bf and I for the weekend of the 15th. Anyone have some off the beaten path ideas?

Most likely I'd stay somewhere in Pawleys Island/Litchfield. Perhaps staying at the Litchfield Inn. Then I would spend some time exploring the paths at Huntington State Park. Bring bikes and bike on the pathways.
Pack a picnic and enjoy it there at the beach or along the bike paths. If you like the beach there are places to sit away from the other beachgoers. Always pack a picnic lunch and plenty of water.
It is really difficult to find a totally quiet place while in a tourist destination but that is the best for your " off the beaten path" around here. Find Pawleys tavern for a night out with fun atmosphere.
Best of Luck.

If you like wine, you might try La Belle Amie Vineyard – Winery – Wine Shop – Gift Ideas, and Wine Tasting Room in North Myrtle Beach, SC

They do not have a music festival that weekend, but even on their "non music fest" weekends, they have a local musician providing afternoon entertainment. It's usually a person with just a keyboard...but it's still an entertaining and relaxing
Saturday afternoon sipping wine....
