Default Places to go out in Horry County

There's a couple threads going about restaurants now I could use some suggestion on places to go out.

1. Prefer someplace with a little older crowd 30's and up if possible.

2. Blues or Rock & Roll places that have bands but aren't dumps would be nice. I'm already aware of and have been to HOB but I'm looking for a place with local bands.

3. Closer to Conway, 501 or 544 would be great. N. MB is ok but rather not drive that far.

4. If I'm not pushing my luck, names of good bands in the area would be appreciated also!

Try Broadway at the beach, there are a few night clubs that are decent.

They are mostly hip hop but I just found out that Hard Rock Cafe has bands. Has anyone been there for a band and how was it?

Sorry Rapture, I know my advice always leads you farther south than you would like.... but here are the places that I have found.

Pawleys Island Tavern has live local stuff Thursday thru Sunday. Usually pretty good stuff, Sundays is usually Jazz. Food is pretty good also.

The Island Bar & Grill South (as opposed to the one on Glenns Bay Rd), music is hit & miss. Wait until the nicer weather since the music is outdoors. Decent food, too.

Louis's has a band that performs often called "Deas Guys" that are very talented and draw a good fun +35 crowd. The link is to their schedule. The food is quite good here but a little pricey.

Murrells Inlet has a bunch of places that have live music too... the Dead Dog & Creek Ratz come to mind. Flo's has a Jazz band on Sundays.

My friend is coming to visit next weekend. I think we will try Hard Rock Cafe. I emailed the band that's playing and they said there's a dance floor and the band plays a mix of rock & dance. If we don't like it, Broadway is nearby.

Thanks for the info., I will try some of those places. Sounds good.
