Hi Everyone,
My husband and I have a Condo in the River Oaks development in Carolina Forest. Over the past few years we have become very fond of SC and are seriously considering a move. I have 2 children, 16 and 6. Realistically, we will probably wait the 2 years until my son is out of school, but who knows. We really like the Carolina Forest area, but as I research schools the Socastee and St. James look a little better based on pure data. I'm hoping someone can comment on the subjective areas, is there really that much of a difference other than location? They all seem to have many positive aspects. We are going to be down in April from PA and spend some time in the Surfside Beach and Murrell's Inlet areas. Any recommendations are welcome!!
You will be very happy in Carolina Forest. My husband ( a realtor) was just working with a couple and she is a teacher in that district. She was adamant about building there forever home there. Not just for her convenience, but for the quality.
While my kids graduated from Socastee (I graduated from Myrtle Beach), I think Carolina Forest would be an excellent choice. Everyone I know that lives there loves it and since there are such a huge amount of transplant residents, everyone is outgoing and very nice.
