Would it be entirely out of the question to find a one bedroom one bathroom one floor apartment anywhere in that area for between 600 and 700 a month in a relatively safe neighborhood? I live the north part of SC andam thinking of heading towards the beaches when I retire shortly. I basically can live anywhere I want on the coast.

Any help would be appreciated, as I don't know the area well enough to decide on what would be the best area for me to live full time. Only thing is I would need close access to a good hospital for heart issues. ( like within 20 miles or so)

Thanks if you can help.

That price will not give you a lot of options....Calabash has an apartment complex that runs around $750 I believe for a one bedroom, it is called The Tides...it is fairly new and very nice....and safe....be careful of Alta Surf apartments....the area isn't great and next door I believe they are called The Vines...brand new apartments are being built that look nice....I believe starting at around $800 for a one bedroom there as well...just be careful of the area I stress....it is up and coming but it sits right off of Route 31....

Market Commons has Alexan Preserve but the prices are a bit higher...$925 for a one bedroom...

Best of luck....
