The Village Shops at Grand Dunes is a proposed 61,600 square feet retail center that would locate on 12.2 acres at the southwest corner of North Kings Highway and 82nd Parkway in the City of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. It will be anchored by a 45,600 square feet supermarket with a pharmacy drive through.

Site plan:

The grocery tenant has not been officially announced yet. The size of the grocery tenant and inclusion of the pharmacy drive through is typical with Publix stores.

Interesting, but Publix made it very clear recently that their newest store will be at Carolina Forest. They will then have a store in NMB, PI, and CF. That is all they had planned for now. Hopefully they do come to that area, though, as I am often in that area and do like Publix a lot.

Publix #1510, Forest Square, will be the next Myrtle Beach area store to open indeed.

Publix will continue to open new stores in the area. It has several additional locations lined up that are yet to be officially confirmed.

I second "Trader Joe's". The day we leave CT, we'll have to bring some TJ goodies with us.

Trader Joe's would seek another location in Myrtle Beach. It does not appear to be the grocery tenant for The Village Shops at Grand Dunes.

It's okay with me if Trader Joe's doesn't move to The Village Shops. Anywhere in the area is good enough for me!
