Does anyone know first hand what the status of the new park is? I believe it was supposed to be up and running April, 2008. I remember reading here where some people were going through a part of it, but is the whole park about ready to go?

No. There's a lot more work to be done but I see them working on it all the time. They are having a job fair next week and last I heard plan to open in May. They have been testing the Led Zepplin roller coaster and having auditions for talent.

Wow, yes.......I don't see where it will be done by the time they predict. There is a building you can go into for free to see what is intended, what will be going on.....like a preview. I haven't gone to that yet.
When we drove by the roller coaster, it seemed just not ready at all......
The grounds are not in any way ready for the crowds.
Gosh, it will be one miracle if it is ready in May. I'll look again soon.......but.......
Hey, they use to have a webcam there for everyone to watch. Wondering if they still do?

I've stopped by several times and it doesn't look like they will be ready but they keep telling me they will. I've never seen any business, especially on this scale open on time.

I'm willing to bet my rep that they WILL open, on a small scale, in May. When push comes to shove.. it gets done... no sleep, lots of overtime...

I was at the Backstage Tour place yesterday and the staff said they are scheduled to open May 9. I drove around and they still have alot of work left to do but they were hustling!

They are also hosting another job fair at Coastal Carolina, still many position vacancies left apparently. And they are auditioning for musical talent, too.

Oh, I'll bet they're racing around to get done close to the deadline. It's just good to hear that it's nearly done cause for a while many people thought it'd be another disappointment and wouldn't materialize.

Even if it's not open until May, that's pretty close to the target date. At one time I had read that they would need 3,000 employees. Does that sound possible? If so, I imagine they are having quite a time finding that many employees.

I still think that would be a really nice place to visit if you're from that era. (Like I am.)

I am looking forward to it, I like a nice clean amusement park (Disney, Six Flags etc) and I love Rock n Roll.... so this should be great! The daily admission is going to be $50 a person and an annual pass will be $150 a person. That is alot of money so they have to really make it interesting and exciting.

I am torn about getting an annual pass, for a family of four is $600.... but I can see us using it three times a year if it isn't too crowded.

I was just reading an article that said the annual pass won't be good for the grand opening so you may want to take that into consideration.

Has there been anything released concerning their line-up for the concerts? Will they be getting some of the older rock groups from the 60s and 70s that are still touring? Have they stated what the prices for the concerts will be? Like I said, I've found a few articles, but can't find the answers to questions like this.
