I was in Little River 2 yrs ago and fell in love with the town. I especially liked Eastport Golf
community. Nice mix of homes and condos on the waterway. I is close to NMB and convienent
to most stores and shopping. It seems to have several retirement communities on golf
courses and otherwise. To me it is a great place to retire. Plenty of golf courses in the area
and cheap golf in the winter months. Many senior retirees in the area. Hope this helps.

My wife and I spent a day in Little River during our MB vacation last week and liked it a lot. We drove several of the ICW-front condo complexes which are of varying quality depending upon (of course) how much one wants to spend. The old waterfront part of LR on Mineola Avenue is cute and kind of a throwback to the old low country days. Not much of that left anymore. I thought that it would be a good retirement location for someone who wants things quieter than the hustle and bustle of the oceanside communities on the Grand Strand. There's decent amenities and dining there as well as a mix of housing options.

Little River is really great, my inlaws just moved down to Cypress Bay development and love it. Plenty to do, but its nice, quite and peaceful.
