Default MB slowing down?

Just contacted people I know in MB, I was told that things are starting to slow big time. My friend said that in construction service they are getting let go early each day, he said that this time last year he had to wait almost 4 light changes to get through a light, now only 10 cars on avg.
He said that the people he works for are laying off and have never had to do this for over 20 years. I guess the economic slow down is hitting everywhere. Any one else feel the slow down in MB?

I have noticed that in the local newspaper they list the recent real estate transactions and the last couple of months it is much less. Last year they took up a whole page and now it is only about a third of the listings.

Gosh, and when I look at homes I am interested in for a winter place.........they are always gone! My favorite list of five is now desolved. Zero left.
But, things are slow in PA also, so I guess we are all having to deal with this.
They say NJ is slow too, prices are coming down.
Times like this have occurred before, things will pick up again.

This just amazes me, but I read about it a few months ago already. It seemed that with the addition of the new theme park and 3,000 new jobs, things would be booming there. It should've spilled over into everything.

There are some parts of the country that are doing well. My state and several surrounding ones have a very low unemployment rate. Last night I was reading that Alabama is progressing well. Texas is doing well, too. Just really surprised about the MB area though.

I'll testify to that! That's why I left the beach for the desert but my bank account went from 0 to $$$. I still miss it though, especially during beach season
