What business or services are missing from the Myrtle Beach Area?
We are in the process of moving back to SC and looking to open a business.
My question is what type of business or services are missing from the area or what type of business would you like to see in the area. I'm open for all ideas.
Thanks!

Everyone, upon Everyone..........complains there is no bakery!
I know of one by the old Air Force base, but.........thats it.
People I talk to are looking for good breads, and muffins etc.
There is a lot of Pizza, a lot of odd and ends stores.......grocery stores are plenty.
So,............from listening to others........ a bakery would be good.
Unless you'd like to have a Cheesecake Factory franchise....people want that too!

I do miss a REAL bakery - not what is in the food stores.
I know ALOT of people would love Macy's or Nordstroms, but I guess you can't do that!

The place up in the airforce base is like a hodgepodge of Italian stuff. They do sandwiches, pizza and breads. They have some pastries but limited. I would love to find a good bakery as well, offering breads, cakes, pies, bagels & pastries.
I also miss a NY style 24 hour diner.

Any gelato shops in Myrtle Beach? There are now two ( 1 example) in downtown Greenville and they seem to be a blazing success. The product tastes better and is less unhealthy than ice cream!

You may want to consider a deli or sorts... The only issue you may run into is getting bread you're used to having from up north..
There are a few deli's here and there... but they are scattered out...

Deli & Bakery
I miss having Imported Danish (or Polish) ham subs! You can't get imported ham here. Also, you can't get bulky rolls.
Every time I go home, I get a good sub!!! A good deli or bakery would definitely be a plus!!!! Actually, a good Italian restaurant would be great. There are some pretty good ones (Chianti South/Old World Italian), but we are lacking a really GREAT Italian restaurant.
