Default Surfside Beach this weekend?

I just realized that it's "black bike week" this week. My wife (2 months pregnant) and I are slated to stay in Surfside Beach this weekend and I had no clue it was bike week. We purposly wanted to go this weekend so we would miss bike week, but now there is another bike week...uugghh.

Ok, so my question is how busy/crazy does it get in Surfside beach for this event? We just want to be able to walk around and relax...is that possible this weekend without it getting too crazy in the Surfside Beach area?

Other than the highways/main streets I don't think Surfside is effected by the Memorial Day Bikefest. Most of the festivities are in the Atlantic Beach area & Myrtle Beach around the convention center. I assume Broadway at the beach may be crowded also. You should be able to enjoy yourselves aside from some extra traffic.

Here is a list of events:
Myrtle Beach Bikers
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Atlantic Beach Bike Fest, Memorial Day

Thanks for the reply. Just in case it was taken the wrong way I have nothing against bikers or african americans...I just wanted to be able to relax and with all the bikes and crazyness going on I wasn't sure I could do that. We're just probably staying in Surfside, so I guess all will be fine?
