Default Need suggestions for a hotel near the beach

I have some relatives that might come to town and would like a hotel with a pool near the beach and restaurants. Clean, safe but not overly expensive. Myrtle Beach preferred and NMB would be ok too. I never stayed in a hotel here, so I don't know where to suggest. Thank you!

Rapture why don't you look into that site where people rent Vacation rentals by owner..............Do you know the site I mean? ( because I don't want a red mark today )

We have found in our family that it is so much nicer to rent a condo and it usually is the same cost as rentinga hotel room. Then you have a living room, kitchen and even a pool.
Some rent for weekends and short week periods, and not only for weeks.
I'd try that new Retro place in Cherry Grove.........but........forgetting the name of it now. I did put some pictures on CD of it.
Even one of the Tilgman Condos or homes would be nice...........
Just a suggestion that seems to work out great for us. So much more comfortable!

I just made reservations at Litchfield Beach and I can tell you that bookings are down this year as there are a lot more available this year than 2 years ago when we went. Try vrbo as mentioned above.

I always recommend Dunes Village II (phase II). It has a nice quiet location, a place to eat and a nice indoor water park/pool. We are locals here and stay there atleast twice during the summer just because we like it so much.
