Default North Myrtle Beach Area

I would like to relocate to S.C. and be near the ocean. Would like to know first hand if No. Myrtle Beach would be a good choice regarding cost of living re: apts., condos, etc. Also, what is the employment situation like right now in the healthcare and/or legal fields? Is there an advantage to living in No. Myrtle Beach rather than Myrtle Beach as far as traffic in the high season or is it all the same, possibly gridlock.

Would appreciate any helpful information.
