Looking for a clean small non high rise motel at myrtle beach with pool. Just need a clean ream nothing fancy but just want to make sure room is a clean one and we hate those big oversize high rises. American owned is a must. Any recommendations?

Thanks so much
Mooney101

PS for 2 adults

Are you looking for one on the beach?

If not, there are a few by Broadway at the Beach that I recommend...they're clean and for the most part cheaper than staying oceanfront. We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott and it was very clean. DH is a Marriott rewards member and they upgraded us to a suite...I'm not sure if the Courtyard has a pool, but there are pools in that area that do.

Do you research before choosing a hotel. There are some that are cheap but they come with all the goodies like filth and druggies.

I'm a huge fan of Dunes Village II. (it's a high rise though) I have stayed at Jonathan Harbor before. It was okay. It's small and locally owned.

Have a good friend who owns one of the few remaining family owned motels in town. The Sea Echo. Give him a call. It's on 24th Ave North behind Harry's Breakfast.

Billy has many folks who are repeat guests due to the family owned and personal service..
