Not that I have heard of. There is a Hard Rock theme park opening next month in the second week of April.

I think so too.........the Hard Rock Theme Park will have three separate openings.......
One in April, one in May and the Grand Opening in early June.
So nice to hear that some of the Pavillion fun will be moved to Broadway at the Beach. Now that was a smart move, because people are asking..........and saying........
" what will they do without it" ( for the little kids pleasures I'm sure)

With 6 Flags located in Georgia, Carowinds in Charlotte, and a major theme park in Virgina, I doubt Disney would pick SC as an ideal location now..

Are those the rides and things from the old boardwalk?
We made several trips to Myrtle in the early to mid 1960s...loved the arcade and the ice cream stand where you could get a cone dipped in different flavors!

Yes, they moved many of the smaller rides to B'way at the Beach and have a nice little area. Plus you can enjoy the rest of the facilities too. I know its not the same as playing near the beach & boardwalk but it preserves some of the memories.

For Disney to even consider doing anything it would have to be where the traffic is and that would be the Myrtle Beach area.
Charleston or Hilton Head doesn't get the traffic and are hard to get to from the North which is where the customer would be coming from.
Myrtle Beach is even hard to get to so that would another major problem for Disney.
I have heard this for a while now and my inside source in Myrtle Beach has told me that if Hard Rock is a huge success then you can bet one of the other companies like Disney or Universal will be seeing dollar signs.
They cannot even get the I 74 corridor finished so how could they handle another million people a year if Disney was there?
