they get 3 years (6 months extra), we get 10 days. Seems fair!

None of it is fair! We're not signing the new amendment to the contract nor are we closing....

They had rather not had the 6 months extra, with all they have been through.
The 10 day notice means step forward and let it be know what your intentions are. with the interest and hoa fees the developer needs to know which units are going to close.
For the people that can't close it may seem unfair, but they signed the contract. Some of them were betting the market would be higher today and they are losing the bet.
As for the developer they have built a beautiful building at a of reduced price that will be the best at Myrtle Beach for a long time.
Is this fair for them they have delivered, now it is time to close.

And will they continue to deliver the rest of the surrounding planned community that made this project really special? Maybe but it won't be for years. BBNB is right, not at all what was contracted! Oh well, 2dbeach are you in the building now? Is there enough staff on hand? Is the fitness facility well staffed? Is there any other construction going on there?

The rest of the community, other condos, shops ect....
And will the service hold up if only 20% close?
These are valid questions anyone who IS closing should ask.

Maybe this is where someone posted that some people were in the dark.
This developer has plans to build the villa's next to the parking deck and 48th street. But everything on the other side of the bridge is by a differant developer and not "winchester north beach towers llc.". Also there is a section in the contract that states that the other phases may not be built (page 5 section 21 of my contract).
Maybe your realtor implied other wise.
Let me know if your contract is the same as mine. I would think they are the same.
