North Beach Plantation
This is by far the best project in MB, hands down! I'm an owner here and feel great about my original price being reduced by almost 40% of what I originally agreed to. I think it's ashamed that so many people are posting things that are not true and have no facts to back what they are saying. I have no idea how many units have closed and don't really care, more room on the pool deck for my family! I've also toured the entire project and the restaurants are complete and should open in October. They have already starting building the single family homes on the Plantation, last I saw there were five under construction. If you're a purchaser and haven't seen this project in person, your really missing out!

I just came from NMB. The sales office advises that they expect 60% of 90% of the contracts to close. They have just started to close units. I am concerned about the developer covering the POA's for units that don't close. That is approx 50% of the units. For those of you from far away- the project looks great. Restaurants are not expected to be functional before 2010. The operator backed off the project.

Recorded closings are at about 8.5%, I think. If more have closed than are recorded would that be because those buyers (maybe the developer, employees, etc.) got further reductions that they don't want to appear publicly. The bank would probably not want recorded any that are reduced because it would hurt the stability of future closings.

We would like to buy in- not yet...thinking that the prices will contunue to drop. Don't currently have a contract. Would consider talking to those who have a unit (2-3bdrm) in Indigo, higher floor who can't/won't close and who don't want to lose all of their deposit.

we closed last Friday. My realtor says they sold 3 more last week and they were not people that had previously signed contracts.

Congrats. Did you buy through a realtor or from the Developer directly? Who was your local realtor if you don't mind me asking?

Does anyone know the names of people from the development company who planned to buy (or other related individuals) to know if they have settled and been recorded?
