Nbt-home ????
Where did the information come from that 10 banks are calling all the shots.
I don't see how 10 banks could agree on anything.
I am still waiting for the word to close.
Who has theit date?

there are 8 banks. that is why everything has taken so long. very hard to get them to agree. you are allowed to close when you want now.

My close date is Aug 21. Only because I want to be there to supervise the furniture move. We were planning to be in MB for the golf tourney Aug 27 so I scheduled the close to coincide with that. Your realtor should contact you. Or, you can call the LAw firm ( Bellamy) to schedule your close. If people are in the dark, it may be that they have not agressively tried to get the informaiton. i have been so stressed with this for almost a year now. I have continually called my realtor, mortgage company, and friends that live in MB to get details.

parrothd ---- You are correct, last year this time 90% of the units were 'UNDER CONTRACT'. Many of these were with flippers and some simiiar to Tim Troy's group. According to original contracts, contract holders have ten days to close on these units. So we will know very soon which ones will close and which will go into default. Once closed, the recordings become part of the public records and can be easily accessed from 'horrycounty.gov' web site. I suspect that by the end of this month all will be known.

what are you expecting to find out? Will a large # of defaults effect services and hoa fees? Are most owners furnishing themselves or using the "designers" that were originally supplied? Coming to NMB for a golf trip in Sept(over Mem. day weekend) anyone want to show me around NBT?

Can we come up with a better name than"flippers". It sound derogatory. How about short term investors.... STI's. Make me sound savvy, er nevermind....

Our closing is scheduled for this Tuesday, July 28th. We have confirmation that the POA fees are associated with each unit and it's square footage. The developer is responsible for any unsold units and if an original purchaser defaults, the bank taking over the unit will be responsible for the POA's.
