Default Homes in Longs

There seem to be alot of homes for sale around Hy 9 in the longs area from my research done on the web. Some of the homes look to be only a few years old. Have the devolopers built too many there or are there just alot of second homes there selling or what? Also, anyone know if these houses are built well?

Thanks,

B

I live in Longs, just off of Rt.9... approx. 2 miles from Cherry Grove. Yes, there are alot of homes for sale. From what I hear, a lot of the homes were purchased pre-construction with the intent to flip during the boom. In fact EVERYBODY was buying up pre-construction, condos, townhomes, single families, most with intent to flip. Unfortunately, many late 'bloomers' got in a little too late.... now most homes are for rent.

Over-all I think it's a prime area to be in..... Rt.9 coming from the north is still pretty much undeveloped... with much potential for the future. Sometimes I wonder if it will be the next 501??? Restaurants, shopping..... etc...
