Default Upscale near Myrtle?
Is there any 'upscale' type areas near Myrtle Beach? Since Myrtle is touristy and all I wouldn't expect much there but how about nearby? What's near the golf courses?
I'm aware of places like Hilton Head but that's further south.

How upscale are you looking? If you go about 30 minutes south of MB there are several ritzy gated communities where most houses are above $1Mil... DeBordieu & Prince George just south of Pawleys Island. Then there are the areas in Pawleys Island/Litchfield area that range from $450k - $1M... The Reserve, Willbrook Plantation and Heritage to name a few. The incorporated town of Pawleys Island is "arrogantly shabby" beachfront homes that all go for a million plus, too.
