What is the best area? Is there any flooding in Conway? We have to deal with flash flooding in the north and the God awful snow

There could be flooding almost all around this area, it's surrounded by water. Anywhere you go there's going to be good and bad. We bought a house in Conway in a 100 yr. flood zone and got flood insurance. Most people I know around here have flood insurance but after 2.5 years here, I haven't seen a flood yet. My neighbor has lived in Conway his whole life (50's) and he has only seen one flood, so I guess that's not bad odds.

When you say the best area, I would need to know what you mean by that exactly. What is it that you're looking for? There are sub-divisions or you you can live somewhere more rural and then there's the historic downtown area. All depends on what you want and are looking for, plus what you want to spend.

I guess what I mean about best area would somewhere quiet and safe yet close to grocery & drug stores. We're looking for a one floor stand alone home, we call them cluster homes. A gated, 55+ area is would probably be best. Want to spend $200,000+ so we get a decent home. I'm working with a real estate agent but I'd thought I'd try the forum to get others opinions.
