I have a client coming to town that needs a recommendation and I have never stayed in a hotel here. Can someone tell me a nice (upscale) place for them? Thanks.
Prince Resort in North Myrtle was pretty nice. It was more of an apartment than hotel room. That and Landmark are the only ones I've stayed at. Obviously Landmark isn't what I would recommend for a "NICE" hotel, although it accommodated me for what I Needed!
We stay at Avian Forest in Litchfield Beach. Avian Forest is generally a 4 bedroom condo but Litchfield Beach has a wide variety of room types available. Check out the website for more details.
Rapture-
This isn't on the South End.. but I have friends who are currently staying at Dunes Village on 52nd north. Very nice place! They have stayed there since the rebuild a couple years ago. Yesterday was the first time I'd actually been IN the place. It has a heated indoor waterpark area, lazy river and waterslides. It's oceanfront and the rooms, from what I saw were nice.
Again, not on the South End, but it's a nice place... On the South End, the Hampton Inn & Suite Oceanfront isn't bad. They just opened a new tower a couple months ago.. and I know they have pools, lazy river, weight room, etc...
I missed upscale.. better stick with Dunes Village...
Wildwood,
I did a little side work on the new tower as it was built. It's a nice place to stay and the staff if friendly. I know they do a LOT of repeat business.
It's on 18th Ave South, so it is a South End location.. if you are the person looking.
i was deciding between the two for this weekend. ultimatley i booked the hampton inn cause of the family style room layout of the two bedroom suites. with small children the bed situation seemed to work out better and be closer to each other. besides the kids are excited for bunk beds. the room decor is more appealing to me, as i don't really like alot of tacky patterns and such you typically find in hotels these days. so hampton inn seemd like a safe choice. we shall see saturday though!
Andersen Beach Resort...two years old. a lil pricy though..
