Default Caledonia Lane

Originally, the entrance way to Caledonia rice plantation, circa early 1800's. Today, it is the entrance to Caledonia Golf Course.

Default Arundel Plantation

Thank you vrexy.

Arundel is a former rice plantation, now privately owned, located just north of Georgetown. The front of the plantation house is mostly obscured by huge live oaks. The first two photos were taken at the plantation; the latter two were taken along the way there.

Hey vrexy - Thanks for the kind words. Yeah, those were shot while kayaking. I don't know how close you can get to Arundel from the road before you hit a private road/driveway.

Wow! I wish I was able to take such clear pics when standing still on dry land! Amazing that you took them from your kayak!

A fast shutter speed is your friend. 'Course, the calm, flat water doesn't hurt, either.
