The Grand Strand on Facebook (Myrtle Beach: new home, live in, beach)

I have to admit I am a complete facebook junkie. I went in search of a group filled with locals chatting about the area but couldn't seem to find one. It seems that in many groups the majority of members aren't people who live in the area, just people who enjoy visiting. Does anyone know of a group that has actual residents and not just fans of the area?

Yes, I realize I am asking about a forum on a forum. Is that against the rules?

I am actually not looking to chat necessarily, just read what others are chatting about (although my husband would tell you I would ultimately end up yapping in the end ). As a recent transplant I am just trying to soak up as much information about my new home as I can. Perusing City Data has been great so I was just looking for another venue to do the same and I figured FB would have to have something.

Of course since you have been helpful to me on many occasions I can't rep you but I appreciate the info )
