Default Looking for a Restaurant for Anniversary

My wife and I will be in Myrtle Beach over our anniversary and I'm looking for a place for dinner. We have an almost 2 year old at home so an "adult" restaurant would be nice. We"d like to avoid chains if possible. Are there any restaurants similiar to restaurants in downtown Charleston? Locally owned, local and/or organic ingrediants, vegetarian options, nice bar selection are all a plus. We'd love a place with multiple courses or a prix fixe menu, but that's not required. We don't really have a preference for cruisine and we're open to trying anything different. Any help is awesome, Thanks!

If your looking for fancy fancy The Library Restaurant is, from what I have read, the only 3 star restaurant in Myrtle Beach. It would qualify for "adult" but I looked at the menu and found very few things that even have a possibility of being vegetarian ( and none that would be vegan). I have never been there myself but my brother always goes when he visits Myrtle Beach and raves about it.

Not sure we have vegetarian type restaurants here, do we? I was going to suggest Prime Cut (I think that's the name) in Market Commons, but they aren't vegetarian.

We mostly do family type stuff, sadly...so I don't know about any of the romantic places. I always thought teenagers didn't want anything to do w/their family....

The vegetarian thing is more of just an option. My wife tends to eat vegetarian but will eat seafood and some poultry, she's not a big fan of red meat. I on the other hand will eat whatever.

The place at Market Commons is called Divine Prime & is high end, known for its steaks. It was good, but it was quite pricey. One of the Divine Restaurant group.

In case you would like to venture south of Myrtle Beach. If you are familiar with the Maverick restaurant group of Charleston, there is the High Hammock in Pawleys Island. Very good, quality food. A little fancier ambiance than my favorite place, the Chive Blossom. Frank's Outback is a local favorite upscale restaurant, also. And lest we forget Bistro 217 to round out the selection.

Honestly, you cannot go wrong with any of them. Each has their own strong characteristics and each are worthy of the trip.

Thanks I'll definetly check them out. I think Divine Prime is actually taking part in the Coastal Uncorked Festival with a 3 course meal for 20.10. Not sure what's on it, but I'll check them out.

We ate at a restaurant called the Black Thai when we were in MB last week because they advertise vegetarian dishes and our daughter eats vegetarian. It's not in my favorite part of MB, but it's not in a bad neighborhood or anything, and the food was really good. The atmosphere was pretty "adult" too, in the sense that it had kind of a dark, Asian, jazzy vibe. Even if you are looking for something a bit fancier for your anniversary, you might want to give this place a try on a different night. If you pick up one of those little light blue MB Visitors Guide books at your hotel there is a coupon in there for this restaurant which is good for buy one entree get one free, I think.

There's an Ethopian restaurant nearby there as well that used to be near Ocean Lakes Campground. It's really not too bad of a neighborhood, especially if you go for lunch. The mini golf place on the corner at the beach end, is usually hopping during the summer, no matter what time of night!

Greg Norman's (in Barefoot Landing) is great, too! And, just south of there is a Ruth Chris...very "upscale"!
