Hi --

Is anyone familiar with this area? The HOA fee includes exterior maintenance and the homes look beautiful in pictures, but it is an area that was built after we had moved from Naples, so I am clueless.

As our children and grandchildren are grown, we would prefer a quiet area where most of the residents have either already retired from good jobs or probably will do so soon, but we are not interested in an over-55 community.

So what is Forest Park like?

I am a Realtor.

I sold a home to retired medical Doctor in Forest Park.

They love it.

Excellent location to shopping, downtown Naples and the beach and to I-75.

It sits next to one of Collier County's parks. The park has most everything anyone could want for recreation.

IMO, Forest Park is in a dicey location between the park and the apartment complex that adjoins the entrance. That's why the prices are so reasonable for fairly new homes with large square footage.

Default Dicey??

What factors lead you to conclude this is a dicey location?? Thanks.

If you've lived here before, it's inland 10 miles or so from the coast in between Golden Gate City and I75.

Recreation Lane is right next to I75 which is very noisy.

Not as good a location as some. I'd keep looking and find some others as a comparison. Google Earth is your friend when you're researching areas.

Default Forest Park

Thanks, Folks.

I had already done the geography search.

While I was awaiting some responses, I did a search of the Naples Daily News Police Beat and addresses seemed to appear quite a few times for the size of the subdivision. The alleged perps did not necessarily live right in Forest Park, but they were arrested very close to Forest Park.

It sounded a little too similar to neighborhoods that I had already chosen to avoid.

Sorry for the slow response, I meant dicey as in crime nearby. Sounds like Tempgal has already checked out Police Beat on that!
