Default Any views on the Stonebridge Community?

Hi all. We are looking for a vacation home in the Naples area and the Stonebridge Golf Community was highly recommended by a friend (I know its a gated, bundled community). I searched the forum and found nothing on it. Does anyone know this community and have any views on desirability, location, amenities and general reputation? Many thx.

A friend lives in SB CC; have played in a Mem-Guest there last year, and several other rounds there. Nice track, decent club house, good tennis courts, etc. Gated w/guard, well done curvy streets with good maintenance. Single homes are set back a tad from course, so fairways aren't 'in your backyard'. Most/all of the build able land is gone, so it is up to maturity, building-wise. We have looked there casually, and the single fam homes while 'older', seem well maintained, as do the condos. Both seem a tad pricey vs mkt, esp the single homes. Fees and dues appear to be in line.

It sort of floats under the radar: on Immokalee, but discrete, and not paralleling I-75. I like it very much in terms of its golf track and 'feeling'. My friend has lived there a decade and likes it very much, fwiw.

Beach is close, lots of the usual corner malls within short driving distance, 'downtown' is a few miles, etc. It is regarded as a 'step up' in the bundled golf communities, imo. Meaning, it isn't Quail West or Grey Oaks, et al, but it is a full step up from the 'average' bundled golf communities in the area, imo.
GL, mD

Thx a lot for this Motordavid, that's very helpful. Pretty much in line with what our friends told us. Sound like it's worth checking out, but I hear you on being a bit overpriced. Any other views welcome!
