Specialist Auto Tech...on Lee Ann Lane, Naples.
I have not personally used them; my FIL did. They seemed high quality and 'fair', or as fair as any trans joint can be.
My bro-n-law owns a trans joint in Jersey...the stories he can tell, and his shop is as honest and meticulous as they come.
Auto trans repair is at best, a crap shoot, imo.

Need rebuild or remanufactured? Or just fluid/filter change? Or, just acting up?

Automatic transmissions are complex, but basically mechanical. The problem usually arises from a breakdown between that 'mechanical assembly'
and the very complex 'electronics pkg' which 'drives' that mechanical/hydraulic system, all connected to on board computer, engine mgmt computers, etc.
And, each manufacturer uses different transmissions, (sourced from only a few oem mfgs), with widely varying electronic pkgs, which vary considerably,
even within the brand. That's about all I know about them...2 or our 3 cars are manual trans, which are basically problem free, over the life of the car(s).

Good Luck, RMD.

I don't know what kind of car it is but on our company vans over the years, we've replaced two.

We learned it cost the same to buy a factory reconditioned one from Chevrolet and that it came with a 36 month warranty.

Good Luck

Beth

I don't profess to be an expert on cars. I asked a friend of mine about your transmission. He said your transmissions overdrive is controlled by a solenoid. That is usually what goes out and it cost about 50 dollars for the part.

He didn't have a shop to recommend.

Good Luck

Beth

Very difficult to diagnose auto trans symptoms by mail, but I don't disagree with Beth.
There is an overdrive 'band' in your trans, and a solenoid that should actuate that 'band',
which is really a set of 'clutches'. It could be the solenoid and the 'rod' that controls that
'band', or it could be something amiss or even broken, in the OD band.

The part(s) may or may not be '$50', though I doubt it.
The cost comes from an honest diagnosis, and digging in to fix it.

The only joint I can rec'd is the one I did...
