Just wondering what are your thoughts on this community ? Overall is it a good place to be ? Looking at a condo for vacation and eventual retirement . Good location , close to beaches , shopping , restaurants etc. How does Naples in general compare to Sarasota ?

That is a nice area with everything you mention.

What do you consider close to the beach? It is about 20 minutes to the beach plus time looking for parking.

I know little about Sarasota so I can't compare.

Hi , thx for the reply . I would like to be closer to the beach but I do not think I can find as nice a place with all the amenities for near that price , any suggestions on communities that are similar to Lely resrt ?

No RE or rental xpert, but 'close to the beach' is a large north/south running area, and in most of Naples it is considerably big bucks for seasonal/monthly rental.

Naples is different than Sarasota; similar but diff is the best way I can describe the two.
Naples is 100+ miles south and 'warmer' on any given day in winter season.
Both have very fine 'downtowns', arts, restaurants, things to do, beaches, money, etc.

Do some noodling on the web; none of us can rec'd anything specific, rental-wise and any responses are simply anecdotal, imo.

I am not familiar with the details of Ole but there are tons of places in Naples with those amenities. Nearly every gated community is like that, although a few don't have golf.

What is your price range?

Rockall,
There are alot of locations that fit your specifics. Do you have friends in the area and the reason for this resort?
