And then cause Naples to share the same economic fate as the places they fleed from when they got price sticker shock how much cheaper cost of living is in Naples...

My proposal:

Naples to pay Liberal Northerners who seriously make attempts to move down to Naples ...money to stay up north and reconsider the relocation.

Why?

The cost of the political change caused by the demographic migrants outweighs any cost of just paying them up front to stay out

They will be like "wow these people actually are philanthropic and pay me even to stay out "

And Naples to say to them ..."keep the change, take it as a lesson learned what wealth can be obtained under certain political environments versus the high tax up north
If you want to pay the favor back, do it by reconsidering your move to Naples... Maybe one day this money we have given you as a gift will give you an awakening that

1) conservatives are indeed charitable givers and

2) money goes a lot farther in business-friendly states than hostile ones ...and once you change your politics...and then things get better for you ....and you too have money in your pocket from the change of your warped view to one that let's you keep what you earn ....maybe then you can repay us in kind

Have a wonderful life

How would this strategy go over?

No need to spend a dime. Just redistrict more areas of Naples with "those people" to Miami.

Default Northerners In Naples

You're already spending that money to get them down here. Your Tourist Bureau is focusing on the East Coast. Now you are getting what you pay for. This is your politicians at work allowing more and more gated villages to get additional residences for this crowd to live. This whole process needs to be thought out.

Most of these Northerners are older and very consevative. Yes, they're coming from liberal blue states, but most the demographic changes are now going on in the surrounding consrvative states because of the migration of younger people.

Naples is actually a small town with a population of 20K. How will this change? I believe greater change will be coming from unicorporated Naples (Collier County) that will drive the greatest change in the area.

I think you should allow at least one northerner in. A good NY proctologist. Maybe he can help remove the stick.
