Any one living at Lely Resort? Looking for an over 55 community. Lely is not, but look very nice. Wondering if any one can tell me the average age there. Also the HOA`s, not including golf Thanks

Lived in Lely for 3 years. Very nice community but the location didnt work for us. Average age IMO is low 70s though thats hard to gauge. The various subdivisions all have their own HOA fees. Most homes require mandatory Players Club membership (about 4k/year) but some do not. Being 61 and 57 we found the demographics of the PC to be too old for us but I know others in our age group who love it. If you are interested in Lely your best bet is to find a realtor who specializes in the community and let them help you with all your options.

If I was looking for 55+ I would definitely include Valencia Bonita in the mix. New GL community in Bonita Springs with incredible amenities.

We live in Riverstone and took a drive to check out the Valencia Bonita location.

Too far east and not close to much was our opinion.

Of course, in time, the area will get developed. Who knows when?

I felt the same way. Also did not want to be in 55+ but if I did might be willing to trade off the location for the amenities and affordability of the community.

I have not, just other non age restricted GL communities in SW Florida and am familiar with their communities in the Delray/Boca area where I moved here from.
