Well, power just went out...over 3000 affected. The flickering had dramatically declined. At least with the smart meters the ticket gets automatically logged. If it doesn’t come back soon will fire up the generator again!

And after an hour power went back on...and now back off after another 15 minutes. Sigh.

Thanks. New house, good breakers, have a whole house surge protector. It was clearly FPL with a lot of the power dips and 1-2 second outages as they de-energized the grid.

Part of it I think is that many people just don't notice it - unless you have a UPS unit that beeps (and I have quite a few) when the power goes below a certain point, it may happen quickly enough that it doesn't affect the microwave or oven timer, for example.

Things have been better over the past 24 hours, so hopefully all is back to nearly normal now.

Just wondering - is there a device that will log when the power flickers or goes below a certain level?

Be nice to have a report of some type to know how it is over 24 hours, a week, a month, etc.

Never mind, found some on amazon.

Another casualty to Irma in addition to a burned out fan in my fridge - my washing machine needs a new main board. Not because of surges, but because of the on/off/on/off cycles.

These $300 here, $300 there expenses are adding up.
