East Naples has always been considered low income and high crime for the Naples area. Although there is a lot of new development considered high income moving into the area. You would have to be more specific on where you are looking for me to help any more than that.

I live in Naples and am familiar with all areas of Collier County. Like Jhubtin said, more information is needed. His description of East Naples is accurate.

Stay out of Naples Manor, and Golden Gate City. Some parts look very nice in GGC, but some do not and the schools that are zoned for there aren't great. Also River Park is an area to avoid.

East Naples is working class. Some areas are very ghetto and dangerous, while others are simply home for lots of hardworking Latinos and whites.

East Naples is also very much Snowbird/Retiree. It is a very mixed area, both financially and agewise. You can have trailer park developments right next to $500,000 large homes on golf courses.

BTW, Calusa Park has just been upgraded to a A+ school. Again, it is a very mixed area.

One more thing: west of Airport seems to be better. Developments like Fox Fire, Berkshire Lakes, and the Shores are definitely middle class areas and feed into Calusa Park. I live in Glen Eagle but this mostly retirees and snowbirds.

Most of those are east of Airport, and they are just fine. Most of East Naples is just fine. I think its safe to say West of I-75, most of the areas are safe.

I have owned a house near the Airport for over 10 years, never had a breakin or a run-in with anyone.

What I meant to say was EAST of Airport. Sorry.

Having lived in Naples for 35 years, I would NOT choose to live or raise children in East Naples. I would also not choose to put my children in any Golden Gate school. There are a couple of other areas I would not want to live.....Naples Manor, Naples Park, Twin Lakes, Bayshore area and east and south of Naples. I would choose to be in the Barron Collier or Naples High School zones. Naples east depends on your cultural heritage as well. If you are Latino, you might be very comfortable there. If you are white, you may not...it all depends on what makes one comfortable.
