I don't think there are any lots smaller than 1 3/4 or 1 1/2. Definitely not as small as you have listed unless they have somehow gotten rezoned.

No area has city water or sewer.

GG Blvd E is busy during rush hour and can get backed up with school busses. The further west you go, the more traffic.

There are no bad sections of GGE. It is all relatively the same.

The further east you go the less dense and more remote.

Golden Gate Blvd is always busy. We looked at a house there and said no way when we saw it was like a highway. We have pets. Plus its noisy. We ended up picking up in the NE section, but not too far E, as he said the more E, the more remote.

I think I am in the most remote area of GGE and I love it! We do have neighbors, so I guess we aren't that remote. Just far enough away from it all, but close enough to major roads, it is an easy commute (not a short one, just easy)

Well I did receive a call from the Fema director in Naples. I was reading his site correctly. It seems that 14 out of the 15 properties were coming to look at are in a zone D, which he said is undetermined but will prob be considered a flood zone within 2yrs. I asked if the zones rated somehow, he said no. He even said it doesnt mean it will flood, just that flood ins is required. So I guess one takes their chances.
Is anyone on the forums here residing in Golden Gate??
A permanent resident of Golden Gate Estates, we built our home 12 years go.

Coming from Chicago the Estates represents all the private space you do not have up north. I am totally into the area; we settled in the Estates after checking out many communities. It is great to have our Black Lab play on the property not having to worry about some neighbor looking sideways.

Yes, you will have well and septic but that has not posed any problems; the best part of that is there are no monthly water and sewer charges. You will used to the critters and the neighbors are great.

By now I am sure that you are enjoying the Estates as much as we are.

This area definitely sounds more relaxed, we have a Newfoundland and Old English sheepdog and will be looking after summers over. We love gardening too. Really having a hard time finding a broker who keeps us in the loop.
