We are very happy to have been invited to the house of some good old 'sconnie friends who live part time in Indian Shores and summer on Lake Wisconsin. This will be the first time since 1983 that I have not cooked Thanksgiving dinner. I guess I'm practicing for retirement, ey?

Oh and, (I missed that line where you say I think talking about food is superficial, you are a bit misunderstanding) for the record, being in love (maybe not the exact term) with sensual pleasures [or perhaps putting sensual pleasures above higher things], in this urgent time of survival (always) is an act of vanity and selfishness and more to each his own varying degree. I've said before, there are others dying for food, literally, whereas the 'wealthy' first world (not limited to) is worrying about their taste buds, or what clothes to wear (provided you are already clothed), luxury to experience, movie to watch, etc....I myself admit to acting in these ways, for this world seems unbearable at times and the stress, and bad things together add up to where you'd explode if you didn't have some form of escape through sensual satisfaction, be it food, or drink, or sight, or sound, or touch, or feeling. We are only human, imperfect and misguided, lost and confused, not knowing what to ask, or where to go. Reality is harsh, we should join together and work for the common good. Even the wealthy are here to survive, and they share in the struggle, to each his own way, maybe less, maybe more, we all have our pains. I say let us share, rich and poor, young and old, together as one - may peace be within us.
