Someone posted Whats it like to live and work on Chey. ---I believe you were going to nursing school and would graduate in 2 yrs? There are always nursing shortages here despite the fact that LCCC has a fine nursing program. Cheyenne is pro growth. Its not the "good 'ol boy" town it was, say, 20 yrs. ago. The weather always gets a bad rep. but if you are from the east and know what bad winters are like, you'll love the winters here. Cost of living is very low and If you like the "Bright lites" of a bigger city, you have Ft Collins 45 miles to the S (straight down I-25-----Denver is only 100 Mi S) down I-25). Welcome to Chey we're a pretty friendy bunch of people here!!

This is encouraging to read. I'm applying for a job with the state of Wyoming and although it is far to early to predict that outcome, I'm losing sleep thinking of the possibility of moving to Cheyenne. I'm so excited! My wife is a physician assistant looking for work in Cheyenne as well. We're both looking for a fresh start in another part of the country to start a family.
