Moved here the Sunday of the flood and my 13 year old Mercedes needs work. I've never taken it to the dealer so am happy with just a normal old garage that does the basic stuff - oil change, etc. Have had one bad experience already so hoping someone can help me out here. If not, I'll just have to drive it back up to my favorite place in CT! (called Simsbury Tire, giving them a shout out). Thanks for any help!

PS. LOVE IT HERE!!! A bit too hot but am sure that will change Septemeber 1st, right???

I have a great mechanic but he's in Brentwood. I wholeheartedly recommend Rhea Little Tire and Auto on Church St. on the east side of I-65. He is a 3rd-generation auto mechanic here, and he is a B'wood city commissioner too. He does a great job and is completely trustworthy.

And I'm sorry to tell you that it will be hot here through September and maybe a little into October.

Maybe not 98, but it'll be hot!

I think this year is a bit "off", hotter earlier than I remember it, so maybe this means it will get cooler earlier too. One can hope...

They said June was the hottest month here on record. The news said it's like this nationwide because of El Nino. Last year, I only remember it being this hot for a one-two week period.

My mechanic is here in Nashville but he's worth the drive for, the labor rate is very competitive. Auto Tech has a 5 star online rating which is very rare these days since a lot of people only like to give reviews to gripe.

AutoTech Import Car Repair Service Center, Nashville TN - Exotic, Luxury & Import Car Repairs

In fact, my Land Rover is there right now!

What news station are you watching that actually uses common sense rather than regurgitating a bunch of Al Gore nonsense about man-made global warming? Most news outlets I have the misfortune of coming across (including The Tennessean) try to convince me that it will be this hot next year in April if I don't start driving a Prius.

I moved from CT several years ago and love this area. Just wait till the weather changes, you will really like the Spring and Fall here... summer takes a bit getting used to.

I have a friend that takes his Porsche Boxster to a place called Wursters (sp?) in Franklin. I never used them, but they seem very reasonable and work mainly on foreign cars.

BTW... Autotech is also a good independent shop... but they are in an industrial part of downtown Nashville and hard to get to. You will hate driving there from Franklin.

Has anyone had any experience with a place called Wursters near The Factory in Franklin? Only asking because I could take the little trolly back to Fieldstone Farms if they needed to keep it overnight. Thanks!
