If anyone wants to hike around my yard, I'll be happy to provide a nice lawnmower handle to use as a hiking stick. And I'll make the lemonade.

Anyone else got fun outdoor plans for the weekend or is it still too hot for y'all?
After the sun came out today it was still miserable. Actually, I was uncomfortable this morning when it was cloudy and 77, but it still beat what we've been seeing.

This weekend I'll just be doing my normal summer thing, which is hibernating. It'll have to be MUCH cooler before I can be even close to comfortable outdoors. I can't wait for winter, when I'm actually comfortable 95% of the time.

Yes, it has been hot, but I already dread the winter. I would rather put up with 95+ than 9 degrees during the winter months. However, no fear. It's just not that bad. There is a theory that when it is cold in the winter, the summers are hotter. I'm not sure, but I may give Al a call.

I had to put on a light jacket at work today because they have the AC set at 62. Go figure. To each his own!

I agree with PaulaC!

And 62 degree A/C is criminal - both from the standpoint of putting your workers into the deep freeze and wasting energy in the process.

As someone who has been researching the Franklin TN area to move my family to, I have been wondering about all these temps in the 90s!! I have the temps displayed on my laptop all day and its been about a 25-30 degree difference betwen out 2 states. I think it was 90ish late in the evening one night. ouch!

Things are crazy all over though as we are in coastal So Cal and have been having the longest, foggiest, coldest summer I can remember.
'June gloom' is standard but from July through Sept we get nice and hot...we are still waiting. As someone who loves the outdoors I sure don't want to be stuck in the A/C for months...but your area just seems so great in other ways we may just have to learn to love the heat.

Weather here has been changing for the last 5 years, so your extremes are all over the place I guess.
