The name explains the reason but we are looking to relocate to the Nashville area. Spouse would be partnering in a relocated business most likely in the Bellevue area but the office space is not rented yet so the possibilty of the cheaper end of Donaldson might also come through. We think we would like apartment dwelling but have never done so. We would be moving with a young teenager who is an indoorsy type that we would most likely home school. We are used to a great deal of space and ultra safe areas, I'm aware that we will be giving up most of these luxuries but they are still somewhat high on our priorities. Where would you start looking for housing? I've looked online at aprts. in Hillmeade, The Crossings of Bellevue, The Lexington. I havent looked much at housing in the Donaldson area yet as I dont really know wherer to start. Are there more affordable options than the ones that I have looked at or in the airport area? Should I look in another area in general and weigh the commute thing more? Would I be better off renting a home. We really do not want yard or major home upkeep anylonger but it is something we are used to and could manage. We have a little dog that we would likely bring with us but we are questioning that. Spouse doesnt mind commuting but would any savings be lost in gas and wear and tear on vehicle. We arent looking for the young, hip lifestyle but we are looking for something friendly. I was hoping for something UNDER the $800 mark but I'm starting to think that would be forfeiting safety. Also we are trying to wait until deeper into the fall before we make the move, would the season affect rental rates or availability much? Thanks for any input.
