Default Your favorite non-tourisy place to hang out~

Ok..
What is your favorite non-touristy place to hang out? This can be in Nashville, and also the Franklin area.
I have been to many of the touristy places of Nashville, but would like to visit some great local hangouts..
Places to eat lunch, dinner, etc
Places to go out with friends in the evening for music and drinks
Things to do, etc..
Thanks for any helpful ideas

Martin's BBQ down in Nolensville is a good local place to eat, although it has gotten national attention courtesy of Diners, Driveins, and Dives. I haven't been there since he reopened in his new place.

As much publicity as Arnold's gets, I actually prefer Dandgure's Cafeteria on the corner of 6th and Lafayette. Great food (as good as Arnold's), never a wait, and Dan always has service with a smile. Great lunch spot downtown.

As for Franklin, Noshville on Carothers in Cool Springs is a good lunch spot.

Gotta run, but I'll get back on the Dinner and other ideas.

I haven't been to Martin's when it hasn't been slammed. The food is good, but the wait and fighting for tables is getting kind of irritating...I'd still recommend it though.

The Bunganut Pig and Dan McGuiness in Franklin are also a good hangouts.

Southern Bred (on Trinity Lane), Silly Goose (in East Nashville) , Calypso Cafe (multiple locations and better for lunch) Rosepepper Cantina (East Nashville) and Saffire (Franklin).
If you're willing to spend some money: Tayst, Flyte, F. Scott's, Eastland Cafe, Margot's

Marche (East Nashville) is good for brunch but usually busy then too.
