Could anyone reccomend a nice hotel to stay at or B&B in near Franklin/Leipers Fork? We are coming to visit and look at some properties in few weeks. We will be traveling with a toddler so the special circumstances that come along with bringing a child who sleeps in a crib need to be considered. (suites?) I'm not a complete hotel snob...but I like clean comfortable accomidations. Did I say clean already??

Also, we want to get a "feel" for Williamson County/Leipers Fork. We would like to be close to the area. Are there certain places we need to see? Best place to get some coffee and take a walk?

Thank you!!!

Franklin is not a big hotel hot spot. The closest hotels to Franklin are located on Hyw 96 close to I65. None of them are what i would consider nice in any way shape or form. There are very few B&B's in the area (kinda strange i know) but it is doubtful you will be able to find one that will accommodate a small child, as most have a 12 and over rule. The nicer clean hotels are going to be located in the Cool Springs area...its pretty close to downtown franklin, although you will have to drive or take the trolley into town.

VRBO.com has a few B&B's & good luxury cabins available in the Leipers Fork area. A little pricey, but worth looking at.
If I remember correctly, one of them has their own brand of specialty coffees.

Would it be better for us to stay in the city? Or Maybe farther south on 65?
I'd love to see what downtown Nashville is all about but not sure I want to spend the night there.

I would try the Marriott or Embassy Suites at Cool Springs. They should be very accommodating. You will have to drive to Leiper's Fork anyway, and those hotels are located one block from an interstate exit and Cool Springs Blvd, which will take you to Mack Hatcher Bypass and then Franklin Road, which will go straight into the downtown Franklin square.

Leiper's Fork used to be kind of a wide spot in the road that benefited from some gentleman farmers and artistic folks sprucing it up and turning it into a neat little community. But you can't walk to it from downtown Franklin.

Welcome to LeipersFork.net

The Brentwood: a bed and breakfast

The Brentwood, a bed and breakfast
6304 Murray Lane Brentwood, TN 37027 / 800-332-4640 615-373-4627
The Brentwood is in one of the finest residential areas of Greater Nashville, just a few miles south of Downtown Nashville.

Leipers Fork Inn just opened on Old Hillsboro Road just a few weeks ago - right "in town," so you'll get a wonderful feel for Leipers Fork. It's in a nice new house (that looks like it's been there forever). The website didn't say anything about no kids. leipersforkinn dot com (they don't like advertising here, so i'm pretty sure a link would be removed). The phone number for the Inn is 599-9989.

I'm a Realtor who specializes and lives in Leipers Fork. If you need help, feel free to email me. If you already have someone... have a great time house hunting! We love living "out here." While it feels country, it's really about 20 minutes to anywhere (mall, grocery, etc.) The school is wonderful too.

If the OP is sure she wants to stay in Leiper's Fork, the Inn looks really cozy. ...depends if she wants to be closer to businesses, etc (then would stay at Cool Springs) or more out in the country (LF)....Can't really lose with either..Enjoy your stay!
