I'm looking to remove the old tub surround from my bathroom and replace it with a new tub and tile.

Does anyone have any advice on companies/contractors to use? I see Hiller Plumbing vans everywhere I go and checked out their website but wondered if anyone had any extra advice.

Thanks!

Jamie

You'll probably near two contractors; a plumber and a tile contractor (unless you can get the tile installer to also put in the new tub).

I'll recommend Myers for the plumbing. I've had good luck using them.

For the tile, you might go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get the names of some of their recommended installers . . . and pick out your tiles and tub at the same time.

I won't break the rules and advertise my husband's remodel/renovations business, (he's booked way out anyway). I just wanted to say the best way, IMHO, to find a reputable, capable company is word of mouth. My husband has been very fortunate to stay busy without ever spending one dime on advertising. I think that's amazing. It's just been clients referring clients.

Alleycat is right on, as always , about asking around for suppliers' recommendations. Interior designers are a good source too. Still, I don't think you can beat asking a homeowner whose project went well and seeing the work that was done in their home.

Good luck!
